PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water mist fire extinguisher to be easily treated with water after use without destructing the environment because water is jetted in mist with inert gas in the pressured state. SOLUTION: The fire extinguisher comprises a container 1 storing water, a siphon tube 8 for siphoning water inside the container 1, a nozzle 9 disposed at the tip of the siphon tube 8, a pressured gas container 4 disposed inside the container 1 storing the inert gas in the pressured state, and a mixer 10 disposed in the front of the nozzle 9 for mixing the inert gas from the pressured gas container 4 and water from the siphon tube 8. When a lever 6 is gripped, the pressured gas container 4 is opened, the inert gas in the pressured state is released to the mixer 10, and water is siphoned from the siphon tube 8 into the mixer 10, so that water mist is ejected from the nozzle 9.
