A METHOD FOR THE AMPLIFICATION OF MULTIPLE GENETIC TARGETS

This invention provides universal method for simultaneous amplification and detection of multiple genetic targets. The method provided facilitates simultaneous amplification of multiple genetic targets, without requiring optimization of the reaction conditions. Also provided are kits containing reagents necessary for carrying out the universal amplification method. The primer pairs are at a final concentration of approximately 0.0025 muM - 0.05 muM per primer and Mg<2+> at a concentration of approximately 5 - 12.5 mM in the reaction mixture.
