It is intended to provide 3-benzyol-2,4,5-substituted pyridine derivatives or salts thereof, bactericides containing the same and intermediates for producing the same. By providing compounds comprising specific 3-benzyol-2,4,5-substituted pyridine derivatives or salts thereof or bactericides containing the same, which are tolerant to rainfall, i.e., being capable of exerting excellent effects even though being sprayed under rain, it becomes unnecessary to increase the chemical spraying frequency or spraying dose by taking rainfall after spraying into consideration. Thus, crops can be protected from disease injuries at a lower cost with less troubles.
