DEVICE FOR REDUCING SWINGS OF CRANE

PURPOSE: A device for reducing swings of a crane is provided to prevent the surfaces of thick plates from being damaged by reducing swings transmitted to the crane by repeating start, move, and stop operations in transporting the thick plates to the spot. CONSTITUTION: A device for reducing swings of a crane is composed of a wire drum(22) rotatively connected by a universal joint and a reducer installed to the upper part of a crab(10); a supporting member(20) for supporting the wire drum guided and moved by a guide rail(13) installed to the upside of the crab; a pair of guide rolls(31) mounted to a fixing block(30) to guide a wire(23) wound around the wire drum; a guide roll moving device for moving the guide rolls in the transverse direction of the wire drum; a swing sensing device for sensing the swings transmitted to the moving device; and a servo motor disposed to the side of the supporting member to move the supporting member when the swing is detected by the swing sensing device.
