PURPOSE: A pressing apparatus for manufacturing an LCD panel is provided to maintain a cell gap uniformly at the entire surface of an upper substrate and a lower substrate. CONSTITUTION: A chamber(100) forms a vacuum for pressing and attaching the upper and lower substrates(10,20). A lower plate(210) is positioned within the chamber(100) and the lower substrate(20) is mounted on an upper surface of the lower plate(210). An upper plate(220) is positioned within the chamber(100) and the upper substrate(10) is mounted on a lower surface of the upper plate(220). A pressing device moves and presses the upper plate(220) into a desired position, that is, an upper portion of the lower plate(210). The pressing device is controlled by a control unit(400). |
