PURPOSE: An optical disc having tracking polarity data, and its recording and regenerating system and method are provided to record tacking polarity data and reflectivity data at a BCA area in order to avoid a trial and error process in getting those data so that it records user data directly at a data area. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps. An optical disc is loaded into a disk drive(801). An optical pickup, installed in the disk drive, extracts tracking polarity data from a BCA area(802). Then the disc drive performs a tracking process without a trial and error based on the extracted tracking polarity data, and records user data at a data area or regenerates the user data(803). In other words, the pickup offers the extracted tracking polarity data to the disc drive, and the disc drive controls the pickup based on the offered data in order to record the user data or regenerate the recorded user data.
