PURPOSE: A 6-speed power train of an automatic transmission for a vehicle is provided to reduce the total length and weight with compact structure by realizing 6 forward and 1 reverse ranges through three planetary gear sets and five friction factors, to increase the durability by lowering rpm of the operating factor at low speed, and to minimize power loss by simplifying the power train passage and lowering the slip rate of the friction factor. CONSTITUTION: A power train of an automatic transmission is formed by combining first, second and third planetary gear sets(PG1,PG2,PG3) between an input shaft(100) and an output shaft(102). A complex planetary gear set having first, second, third and fourth operating factors is formed by connecting two operating factors among 6 operating factors of first and third planetary gear sets. The first operating factor is used as the selective input factor, and the second operating factor is used as the output factor. The third operating factor is used as the input and fixing factors, and the fourth operating factor is used as the selective fixing factor. The second planetary gear set comprises the fifth operating factor as the input factor, the sixth operating factor as the output factor and a seventh operating factor as the fixing factor. The sixth operating factor of the second planetary gear set outputs rotation decelerated to rpm of the input shaft to the fourth operating factor of the complex planetary gear set.
