Class 132(1): A roundabout comprises a plate carrying a central structure on which plurality of telescoping arms each having at its outer end a passenger carrying for rotating the plate. As shown consisting of elements 13a, 13b is upright 54, and is raised and lowered by a jack 17. A jack 61 rigid with one of the elements 13a or 13b, has a piston rod 62 secured to the other element. Jacks 17 and 61 are preferably operated together and preferably they retract and expand simultaneously when operated by a lever in the car 14 which either acts on the distributer of the fluid pressure system or on one or more electrically operated valves controlling it.
