Door lock for an oven, especially for an oven with pyrolytic self-cleaning, comprises a motor unit (2) with an electromotor (8) and a starter (9), a lock unit (3) with a locking bar interacting with a door part (7), a force-transfer element (4) connecting the motor unit to the lock unit, and a safety microswitch (11) activated when the oven door is locked and deactivated on incorrect locking. All electrical components including the starter and electromotor together with the safety microswitch and with an actuating device for the parts forming the safety microswitch are contained in the motor unit. The force-transfer element is provided for transferring forces and for transferring control commands.
