PURPOSE: An optical power meter is provided to automatically discriminate wavelengths of an optical signal generated from an optical communication system and to automatically measure power of the wavelengths. CONSTITUTION: An optical power meter includes a key pad(21) for selecting an on/off operation, an optical adapter(23) for connecting an optical cable, and a WDMC for dividing signals, which are divided by an ODC, according to wavelengths thereof and transferring the divided signals into each signal output port. A photo sensor is connected to each signal output port so as to convert the optical signals into electronic signals. A photo diode(24) is provided to convert the optical signals divided by the ODC. A first signal amplifier(25a) amplifies signals detected by the photo diode(24) to a predetermined level. A second signal amplifier(25b) is provided to amplify signals detected by the photo sensors.
