PURPOSE: A method for coating a jacket around a multi-core jumper code is provided to coat easily a long jacket of 0.9mm by improving a coating process. CONSTITUTION: An external cover is removed from both ends of an optical cable(11) in order to expose a jacket having a diameter of 0.9mm. A contractive tube and a brass bar are located around the optical cable. A fiber is exposed by removing the external cover from each end of plural jackets. A plurality of jackets having the diameter of 1.8mm to 3.0mm having the jacket of 0.9mm are cut in a predetermined interval. An adhesive(18) is coated on the fiber of the jacket of 0.9mm extended from an end part of the optical cable(11) and an end of an outer surface of the jacket of 0.9mm. The fiber of the jacket of 0.9mm is inserted into an end part of the jacket of 0.9mm within the jacket of 1.8mm to 3.0mm. The jacket of 0.9mm is drawn from the inside of the jacket of 1.8mm to 3.0mm. The jacket of 0.9mm of the optical cable(11) is inserted into the inside of the jacket of 1.8mm to 3.0mm. An epoxy is coated on each end part of the optical cable and the jacket of 1.8mm to 3.0mm. The brass bar is formed around the jacket of 1.8mm to 3.0mm and the optical cable. A contractive tube is formed around the brass bar.
