Packaging (2) for vegetables, especially asparagus (1), comprises a film made into a bag. The film forms a water-tight sleeve (21) for the bag, which is provided on the inner side at least partly with a layer of absorbent material. Preferred Features: The absorbent material is made of cellulose, plastic or foam. The packaging is provided on the inner side with a steam- and gas-permeable membrane forming part of the absorbent material. The membrane is an osmotic membrane, especially a film with selective gas permeability. |
