Holding device (100) for holding a fitting on a sink unit arranged in a worktop comprises at least one first through opening (144') for the fitting and having a first concave edge region (145') with a first radius of curvature, and a second through opening (144'') for the fitting having a second concave edge region (145'') with a second radius of curvature. The first radius of curvature is greater than the second radius of curvature. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Fitting for a sink unit comprising the above holding device; and (2) Sink unit for arranging in a worktop comprising a fitting and the above holding device.
