Elevator control using zones

The system uses several lift cages in separate shafts parallel to each other and various floors in the building are grouped together. The first stage in the process (R=f) determines whether or not a lift call is a priority call. A YES answer activates a stage determining whether a lift cage in use is available (gfK). A NO answer activates a stage determining whether a non-priority lift cage is available (gnfK). YES and NO answers from these stages activate the nearest lift cage (tbfK,tbnfK) or activate queries as to whether other lift cages are available in the call zone (afKsZ,anfKsZ). Further control stages are performed according to a predetermined algorithm.
