PURPOSE: A method for selecting an audio language in a digital broadcasting receiving device is provided to reflect updated and changed language information, when selecting a language for broadcasting signals inputted in an entry state of a language selection menu, thereby preventing wrong selection of a user and eliminating errors. CONSTITUTION: A total number and a sequence of audio languages are stored according to audio track data of a current PMT(Program Map Table)(S11,S12). An audio language index and the total number of languages are displayed(S13). Whether a language selection key signal is inputted is discriminated(S21). If a language selection key signal is inputted, the current audio sequence is increased(S23). If the current audio sequence is not smaller than the total language number(S22), the current audio sequence is initialized to 0(zero)(S24). The changed language sequence is stored in a previous audio language index(S25), and a value thereof is stored in an audio index of a current channel, and then an audio title display mode is performed(S26). An audio language sequence for a current audio language is set according to the index of audio tracks of the current channel on which updated PMT is reflected(S31). Whether a previous audio language sequence stored in the step S25 and the current audio language sequence set in the step S31 are identical with each other is compared(S32), If not identical, an audio title display mode is performed to display the changed audio language information to reflect the displayed information upon selection of an audio language(S33,S34). If identical, the step S21 is returned. |
