ELECTRODE WIRE FOR WIRE ELECTRO DISCHARGE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD

PURPOSE: An electrode wire of a wire electro discharge and a manufacturing method are provided not to break the wire due to oxidized substance and to manufacture the electrode wire in low cost. CONSTITUTION: A surface of a core wire(31) is coated with a copper layer(32), a brass layer(33) and a zinc layer(34) successively. A sectional area of the copper layer is between seven to fifteen percent of whole sectional area of an electrode wire(3). The brass layer is between one point one and one micro meter and the zinc layer is between two and fifteen micro meters in thickness. Thereby, breakage of the wire is reduced because strength and modulus of elasticity increase. Electro discharge and safety are improved by settling all coating layers stable.
