GAS SHUT-OFF DEVICE

PURPOSE: A gas shut-off device is provided to prevent the leaking and overheating of gas caused by carelessness and absent-mindedness of users by sensing human bodies with a supersonic sensor of high reliability without malfunctions. CONSTITUTION: A gas shut-off device is composed of a supersonic sensor unit(10) and a gas circuit breaker(20). The supersonic sensor unit transmits supersonic waves and receives a reflected supersonic wave-detecting signal to decide the existence of persons. The gas circuit breaker settled to interlock with a gas valve(100) installed to open and close a gas pipe(110) by rotation operates the supersonic sensor unit when a user rotates the gas valve to open the gas pipe and closes the gas pipe by rotating the gas valve in the opposite direction if deciding that persons don't exist for the pre-set standby time to the supersonic wave-detecting signal transmitted from the supersonic sensor unit.
