PURPOSE: A device for recognizing the biometric information is provided to configure the device economically, reduce a volume of the device, and facilitate the making and the assembly of the device. CONSTITUTION: A slim typed prism(P) is equipped with the first surface(S1) contacted to an object to obtain the biometric information, partially reflecting the incident light in a state that the object is contacted, and passing the rest incident light, the second surface(S2) fully reflecting the light diffused from the first surface by installing to an opposite side, and the third surface(S3) refracting the light from the second surface. A light source(40) is installed around the slim typed prism in order to reach the light to the first surface. An imaging lens(42) forms an image of the light output through the third surface. An image sensor(46) senses the image formed by the imaging lens.
