PURPOSE: An external image output device for a mobile communication terminal is provided to output an image using a USB(Universal Serial Bus) interface of the mobile communication terminal and display the output image on an external display device. CONSTITUTION: A communication interface device having a USB host module(200) and a USB client module(201) receives digital image data from a mobile communication terminal. A frame buffer(202) buffers the digital image data received through the communication interface device, and outputs the buffered digital image data to an external display device. A decoder device having a plurality of converters(203,205) converts a format of the digital image data buffered in the frame buffer(202) into a corresponding video format according to a kind of the external display device.
