PURPOSE: A method for compensating for variation of a variable force solenoid valve is provided to cope with variation of the quality of the variable force solenoid valve without using a hydraulic sensor. CONSTITUTION: A method for compensating for variation of a variable force solenoid valve comprises steps of calculating and outputting a command current value output to the variable force solenoid valve as a minimum required hydraulic-demand current value(or duty) in a line pressure-variable control mode entry state (S212¯S214); detecting whether a slip occurs if the variable force solenoid valve operates by the calculated minimum required hydraulic-demand current value(S216); and changing a solenoid characteristic curve set in a shift control part if the slip occurs(S218). The method for compensating for variation of the variable force solenoid valve further comprises steps of re-detecting whether a slip occurs in a line pressure-variable control mode re-entry state after finishing the change of the solenoid characteristic curve(S220¯S224); learning slip compensation if a slip occurs(S226); and storing a learned slip compensation value(S228); and executing line pressure-variable steady control action if a slip doesn't occur(S230).
