PURPOSE: A window regulator is provided to prevent a window glass from being contacted incompletely or to prevent a wire from being loosened by fixing the window by increasing tension of the wire with using a pre-tensioner, and to improve durability, performance, and economical efficiency. CONSTITUTION: The window regulator comprises a base plate(10) mounted inside a door; a drum(20) embedded in a drum cover(21) installed in the base plate and connected to a motor to rotate and reverse with the motor; the wire(30) winding and unwinding by rotating and reversing the drum; a channel(40) fixed in the door; and a carrier plate(50) connecting to the wire, sliding up and down along the channel by moving the wire, and mounted with a window glass. A pre-tensioner(60) is installed in the upper part of the motor rotating the drum to apply elastic force to the wire.
