PROCESS FOR MIXING FLUIDS USING ELECTRO-OSMOSIS

PURPOSE: A process for mixing fluids is provided to maximize the efficiency of fluid mixing by electro-osmosis streams, thereby contributing to the commercialization of microchips. CONSTITUTION: The process for mixing fluid using electro-osmosis comprises disturbing electro-osmosis streams chaotically by applying a time-cyclic electric field to a micro channel wherein the electric potential of the channel surface is periodically nonuniform. The time-cyclic electric field uses a mathematic equation represented by E=E(1 + ae¬iwt)(wherein, a is amplitude and w is a frequency).
