PURPOSE: A damping apparatus for varying tuning frequency is provided to reduce vibration by adjusting the tuning frequency finely with tapering the side of a drive shaft and moving a rubber damper. CONSTITUTION: A damping apparatus for varying tuning frequency is composed of a rubber damper(3) mounted in the taper region formed by tapering the part of a drive shaft; a moving unit moving the rubber damper in the taper region of the drive shaft; a driving motor(19) fastened to the side of the vehicle body to transmit power to the moving unit; and a controller(25) controlling the driving motor by calculating vehicle speed and acceleration signals from a vehicle speed sensor and an acceleration sensor. The rubber damper includes rubber inserted to the taper region, and a cylindrical mass fitted around the rubber.
