PURPOSE: An apparatus for protecting the external terminals of a battery is provided to avoid a damage due to contact with an external object by preventing the external terminals of a battery from being exposed to the external. CONSTITUTION: An interposed boss(210), inserted into the inside of a battery pack, is protruded and formed at an external terminal cover(200). At the battery pack, a guide slot(110), into which the interposed boss(210) is inserted, is formed. The guide slot(110) guides the movement of the inserted interposed boss(210) so that the external terminal cover(200) can prevent the external terminals from being exposed to the external. The external terminal cover(200) is coupled to the guide slot(110) through a separation prevention pin(230) so as not to be separated from the guide slot(110).
