The linear braking system for road or rail vehicles has direct application of braking retardation and uses a wedge (2) under a suspended wheel-surface (1) and/or the supporting wheels (5) and which with the aid of a regulating system (4) limits the applied pressure force. The wedge comprises an upper side, with a curved or inclined surface, on which the wheel/surface transmits the applied pressure force and an under side with a horizontal surface provided with high friction material (3). |
