The cover comprises a textile fabric (1) with fasteners (3, 5) for securing it to the baby carrier and a hood (20) connected to its top end. The hood is secured to the fabric via a fastener (30) which allows it to be turned around relative to the fabric so that the open side of the hood can face away or towards the baby carrier whilst the child is covered by the fabric.
