PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of authentication which is suitable for authentication and settlement of electronic commerce for example by simplifying the process. SOLUTION: A consumer A, a sales company B and a transit company C open accounts with a bank, and the bank distributes three points S1, S2 and S3 which are not on one straight line in a three-dimensional space to A, B and C. When A calls for purchase to B, B responds to A and sends S2 and request for authentication of IDb to C. A sends S1 and authentication request of IDa to C, and C makes the center of a circle defined by S1, S2 and S3 as authentication guarantee data GD and sends GD, IDa, IDb and IDc to the bank. The bank verifies matching of S1, S2 and S3 which it holds with GD and if they matches, the bank makes settlement and sends settlement completion notification and GD to A, B and C. C delivers commercial products from B to A. |
