FIELD: electrical engineering; cooling systems of totally enclosed electrical machines. SUBSTANCE: electrical machine has barrel-shaped frame with end shields; electrical machine barrel accommodates rotor and stator; rotor shaft carries at least one fan secured within electrical machine interior. Heat pipes are disposed in rotor and stator stacks; they are positioned along center line and protrude beyond butt ends of stator and rotor stacks. Electrical machine interior is filled with cooling gas possessing insulating properties.
