FIELD: aeronautical engineering; start and assisted air start of rotor of rotary-wing flying vehicles, such as auto-gyros. SUBSTANCE: proposed system includes gas source connected with pneumatic drive by means of pipe line through control unit; pneumatic drive is connected in its turn with shaft of auto-gyro rotor. Connection of pneumatic drive with shaft of auto-gyro rotor is effected through transmission rigidly mounted relative to axis of rotation of shaft of auto-gyro rotor; connection of transmission with pneumatic drive is effected through flexible coupling. Internal combustion engine may be used as gas source; control unit is made in form of distributor (for example, slide valve type distributor) with additional outlet communicated with atmosphere; engine of auto-gyro may be used for the purpose. Turbo- supercharger of internal combustion engine may be also used as gas source and control unit may be provided with additional inlet communicated with atmosphere and additional outlet connected to inlet of internal combustion engine; turbo- supercharge of auto-gyro engine may be used for the purpose. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and safety of flights; facilitated procedure of start; enhanced efficiency; reduced take-off run. 5 cl, 3 dwg |
