PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving a light emitting device of a matrix type display is provided to reduce a generation rate of crosstalk at each pixel by preventing connecting states between light emitting devices of pixels. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for driving a light emitting device of a matrix type display includes a diode, a capacitor, and a light emitting device. The diode includes an anode terminal for receiving a data signal, a cathode terminal for receiving a control signal synchronized with the data signal. The diode is operated by an electric potential difference between the data signal and the control signal. The capacitor includes a first terminal connected to the cathode terminal of the diode and a second terminal for storing charges corresponding to the electric potential difference between the data signal and the control signal. The capacitor is used for performing a charging or a discharging operation when the diode is turned on or off. The light emitting device includes an anode terminal connected to the cathode terminal of the diode and the first terminal of the capacitor, a cathode terminal connected to the second terminal of the capacitor. The light emitting device performs a predetermined light emitting process when the diode is turned on or off.
