PURPOSE: A capacity adjusting valve for a screw air compressor is provided to maintain equal pressure by adjusting pressure automatically when compressed air is reaches regular pressure with a capacity adjusting valve. CONSTITUTION: A housing(13) has an air inlet(11) on an upper side and an air outlet(12) on a lower side to communicate with each other through an air opening/shutting port(10). A bushing cover(15) and a disc cover(16) is combined to a rear portion of the housing, having a pneumatic hole(14) on a rear surface to let pneumatic pressure come in and go out. A support(20) in a piston structure is arranged horizontally to an inner space of the housing and the bushing cover. A stopper(17) is installed to an end of the supporter. The supporter is supported by a first spring(18) elastically and moved by operating pneumatic pressure on a bushing(19). A valve body(22) is arranged in the housing and combined to the end of the supporter to be moved by sucking pneumatic pressure. The valve body is supported by a second spring(21) and restricted by the stopper of the supporter in moving. The valve body opens and shuts the air opening/shutting port selectively. Therefore, steady pressure is maintained by adjusting capacity automatically when compressed air reaches specific pressure when air sucks in with a compressor.
