METHOD FOR MARKING ON SURFACE OF CUTTING WHEEL

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for marking a character or a logo on the shank surface of a cutting wheel to cut a hard material such as stone or metal by sintering, whereby it is possible to maintain the character or logo for a long period of time and to improve the aesthetic appearance of the cutting wheel. CONSTITUTION: The method for marking a character or a logo on the shank surface of a cutting wheel includes copper-plating a part of the surface of a cutting wheel where to mark, placing a mark piece on the marking part, mounting the cutting wheel on a mold and pressing the cutting wheel while heating. The mold is engraved or embossed corresponding to the mark piece which has been placed on the cutting wheel. The mark piece is an alloy composed of Cu-Sn. The cutting wheel is pressed under a pressure of 10-100 kg/cm¬2 at 700-1000 deg.C.
