SECTOR ANTENNA APPARATUS FOR OBTAINING ANTENNA CHARACTERISTICS NECESSARY FOR EACH RADIATION DIRECTION AND ON-VEHICLE TRANSCEIVER

PURPOSE: A sector antenna system for obtaining antenna characteristics necessary for each radiation direction and an on-vehicle transceiver is provided to obtain a high gain and lengthen communication distance by controlling each aperture area of horn antennas to provide a narrow beam width and a broad beam width. CONSTITUTION: A sector antenna apparatus(1) includes a plurality of horn antennas(5A-5F) for radiating beams to different directions and an antenna changeover switch for performing a switching operation between the horn antennas. The horn antennas include a horn antenna for radiating beam to a high angular resolution direction. The horn antenna has a large aperture to provide a narrow beam width. The horn antenna further includes a horn antenna for radiating beam to a low angular resolution direction. The horn antenna has a small aperture to provide a broad beam width.
