PURPOSE: An audio packet decoding method for A/V(audio/video) synchronization is provided to directly manage PTSs(Presentation Time Stamps) for each frame, thereby performing correct A/V synchronization and easily coping with errors using a PTS difference between a previous frame and a current frame. CONSTITUTION: In a process of decoding packet data of a digital TV for data broadcasting(S10), a PTS making module is produced for PTS information insertion(S11). A new ES(Elementary Stream) of a new format to which the PTS information is inserted is produced to decode the PTS information(S12). The PTS making module inserts the PTSs used in the ES of the new format in front of sync words of each audio frame. PTS information patterns are classified into three; a first part of a frame is included in every packet; a first part of a frame does not exist within packets; and a first part of a frame exists in more than 2 packets. |
