PURPOSE: A substrate for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and the LCD having the same are provided to be high in luminance and be excellent in display characteristic. CONSTITUTION: A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) substrate and a counter substrate(4) are oppositely disposed. Liquid crystals are sealed between the TFT substrate and the counter substrate. BMs(Black Matrixes)(10) are formed as a grid shape on the counter substrate. A plurality of pixel regions are partitioned by the BMs. A post-type spacer(18) is disposed to form an alignment bad region between the adjacent pixel regions in a direction vertical to a substrate surface.
