MODULATION FREQUENCY VARIABLE OPTICAL OSCILLATOR BY USING OPTICAL FIBER GRATING MIRROR

摘要

PURPOSE: A modulation frequency variable optical oscillator by using an optical fiber grating mirror is provided to implement a high frequency optical oscillator capable of continuously varying the modulation frequency of the laser within 60 GHz - 80 GHz by adjusting the wavelength of the reflected light from the wavelength variable optical fiber grating mirror. CONSTITUTION: A modulation frequency variable optical oscillator by using an optical fiber grating mirror is characterized in that a linear laser oscillator(120) is additionally added to inside of the laser resonator(100) by installing a pair of optical fiber grating mirrors(110a,110b) capable of varying the wavelength of the reflected light, thereby inducing the beat frequency between two laser modes generated from the laser resonator(100) and the linear laser oscillator(120) and continuously changing the modulation frequency by modulating the wavelength of the reflected light of the optical fiber grating mirrors(110a,110b).
