PURPOSE: A length-adjustable gas lifter is provided to simply adjust the operation length of the gas lifter with magnetic force generated from an electromagnet by installing the electromagnet to the outer periphery of the gas lifter for supporting a tailgate or a hood panel and a movable member for controlling the movements of a rod in the gas lifter. CONSTITUTION: A length-adjustable gas lifter is composed of a pipe(10) of which one end is combined with a fixing clip, filled with gas; a rod(20) of which one end is inserted into the pipe and the other end is combined with the other fixing clip; a piston(30) inserted into the front end of the rod embedded in the pipe and formed with a guide groove(32) for flowing gas at one side; a sealing member for sealing the gas filled in the pipe not to flow out; a stopper(50) for controlling the movement of the rod; a movable member(60) movably installed between the stopper and the rod; a plurality of rotary arms(70) elastically disposed to one end of the movable member with a ring spring(75); a hanging member(73) fixed to one end of the rotary arm and formed with saw teeth(74) on the outside; a supporting member(80) formed with the other saw teeth(81) combined with the saw teeth of the hanging member and fixed to the inside of the pipe; and an electromagnet(90) installed to the outer periphery of the pipe to generate magnetic force to pull the other end of the rotary arm.
