PURPOSE: A laundry amount detecting method of a washing machine is provided to improve washing efficiency by detecting the laundry amount accurately regardless of temperature change with rotating the rotor of the washing motor according to driving signals with changing rpm of the washing motor rotor corresponding to the laundry amount. CONSTITUTION: A laundry amount detecting signal is input in starting a washing machine(S11), and a rotor of a washing motor is moved by outputting a driving signal to a stator of the washing motor(S12). The rotor of the washing motor is rotated by outputting the driving signal to the stator(S13). Rpm of the washing motor is detected by a hall sensor after rotating the rotor(S14). Temperature is detected by the temperature sensor after rotating the rotor of the washing motor(S15), and the laundry amount is calculated by detecting rpm of the rotor and temperature of the washing motor(S16). Washing efficiency is improved by calculating the laundry amount accurately regardless of temperature change. |
