PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for driving a plasma display panel are provided to prevent a mis-discharging of spots by removing wall charges from discharge cells in a low-temperature driving process. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving a plasma display panel includes a process for supplying alternately sustain pulses to a sustain electrode and a scan electrode during a sustain period. The method for driving the plasma display panel further includes a process for setting up different driving waveforms during the sustain period under the low temperature or the more temperature than the low temperature. An erase pulse is supplied at an initial state of the sustain period under the low temperature. The erase pulse is not supplied during the sustain period under the more temperature than the low temperature. |
