PURPOSE: A method for monitoring a page slot and recovering an error in a mobile communication terminal is provided to allow a mobile communication terminal to properly receive a paging by being re-synchronized with a base station. CONSTITUTION: A terminal calculates a first page slot number allocated to itself and a second page slot number that the terminal is currently monitoring and determines whether the first and second slot numbers are identical(S230). If the two slot numbers are not identical(S232), the terminal increases a count value indicating a slot inconsistency by 1(S240) and compares it with a threshold value(S250). If the count value exceeds the threshold value(S252), the terminal and a base station are re-synchronized to initialize every variable value including the count value(S260).
