PURPOSE: A catalyst converter of a vehicle is provided to automatically change the purifying performance and the discharge resistance according to the traveling state of the vehicle by using a characteristic by the size of cells of a catalyst carrier. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst converter of a vehicle comprises a converter housing(3) forming an inlet(1) to the engine side and an outlet(2) to the muffler side; a fixed catalyst carrier(5) fixed inside the converter housing; a rotating catalyst carrier(7) rotatably installed inside the converter housing; a rotating unit rotating the rotating catalyst carrier according to the operation state of an engine. The lattice-shaped section of the rotating catalyst carrier is opposite to the lattice-shaped section of the fixed catalyst carrier. The fixed catalyst carrier is installed to the outlet side of the converter housing and the rotating catalyst carrier is installed to the inlet side of the converter housing.
