Immune library of cDNA fragments encoding single-chain camelid antibodies, useful for treating and diagnosing neuroaggregative diseases, directed against the 1-42 beta-amyloid peptide

Immune library (A) of cDNA (I) encoding variable fragments (II) of single-chain camelid antibodies (Ab), directed against the peptide beta-amyloid(1-42) (III), is new. (A) has been deposited as CNCM I-2937. Independent claims are also included for: (1) (II) encoded by cDNA that has been isolated by expressing (A), treating the antibody fragments formed with (III) and isolating, as (II), any that bind to (III); (2) antibody, or its fragment, containing (II) and selected by method (1); (3) cDNA (Ia) isolated by method (1); (4) recombinant vector containing at least one (Ia); (5) eukaryotic or prokaryotic host cell that contains (Ia) or the vector of (4); and (6) kit for diagnosis of neuroaggregative disease containing at least one (II) of (1) or an antibody, or fragment, of (2).
