PURPOSE: A radial tire improving durability for a truck or a bus is provided to extend the life span of the tire, and to improve the endurance of the belt edge by surrounding the upper and lower parts of the belt edge with the aramid ply. CONSTITUTION: A belt(10) is formed in a radial tire for a truck or a bus, and upper and lower parts of the belt edge are surrounded by an aramid ply(20). The aramid ply is composed of an aramid cord extended around the edge of the belt in the cross section of the belt, and topping rubber surrounding the upper and lower parts of the aramid cord. The aramid ply surrounds the upper part and the lower part of the belt edge about 10 - 50 mm from the end. The aramid cord of the aramid ply is 500-3000 deniers, and the density of cord arrangement is 10 - 35 EPI.
