PURPOSE: An upgrade device of a digital TV is provided to use a PCMCIA(Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) card for program upgrade and various contents of the digital TV that uses a remote controller, and to charge the remote controller using a USB(Universal Serial Bus) port, thereby easily upgrading the programs of the digital TV and eliminating a need to replace batteries of the remote controller. CONSTITUTION: A digital TV has a built-in USB port. A PCMCIA card(100) provides applications and various contents for upgrade of the digital TV. A remote controller(200) has a built-in PCMCIA slot and a USB port, and transmits the applications and various contents to the digital TV through a USB cable connected to the USB port thereof as the PCMCIA card(100) is inserted in the PCMCIA slot thereof. That is, the USB port of the remote controller(200) and the USB port of the digital TV are connected to each other through the USB cable, and then upgrade programs or the various contents of the PCMCIA card(100) inserted in the remote controller(200) are automatically executed and transmitted to the digital TV.
