PURPOSE: A cooling apparatus of a brake drum for a vehicle is provided to extend the life span of the tire, and to protect the inner tire installed in an inner tire wheel against heat from the drum by injecting water between the inner tire wheel and the drum during or after braking. CONSTITUTION: An inner tire(3) and an outer tire(4) are mounted in the outer peripheries of rims of an inner tire wheel(1) and an outer tire wheel(2), and a drum(5) is integrally rotated and installed to the inner tire wheel. A brake shoe with a brake lining(6) restricting rotation of the drum by pressing the drum in braking is installed in the drum. A spray unit of a cooling apparatus of the brake drum is composed of a jetting nozzle(7) receiving high pressure air from an air brake system and connecting to an exhaust port of a relay valve(12) to jetting water between the inner tire wheel and the drum after braking, and a water pipe(8) integrally installed to the jetting nozzle to supply water.
