The control system for the braking force applied to the automobile wheels comprises different sensors (14) for the vehicle parameters and a computer (5), receiving the sensor information, able to calculate a braking instruction value for the braking device as a function of a control action coming from the vehicle driver (8) or coming from an automatic driving assistance device (10). The computer modifies the speed of development of the braking instruction value according to the driving situation detected by the sensors.
