摘要 PURPOSE: Provided are a polyamide having a high ferroelectricity and an excellent solubility in common solvent and a resin composition containing the polyamide having high damping properties and lightweightness. The polyamide is applicable to a sensor, an actuator and a memory. CONSTITUTION: The polyamide is obtained by the polycondensation of a diamine component containing at least 50 mol% of 2-methyl-1,5-dipentanediamine and a dicarboxylic acid component containing at least 50 mol% of azelaic acid, has a remanent polymerization of at least 30 mC/m2 when a stretched film is polarized under an electric field of 200 MV/m, a relative viscosity of 1.3-5.0 in a solution of a concentration of 1 g/1 L in 96% concentrated H2SO4 at 25 deg.C, a glass transition temperature of 80 deg.C or less measured with a differential scanning calorimeter and a calorific value of 5 J/g or less at cooling crystallization exothermic peak, and is dissolved in at least one member selected from the group consisting of methanol, ethanol and 2-propanol in an amount of 5 wt% or less. The resin composition comprises the polyamide and an electrical conductive material.
