Fibre-reinforced ceramic brake lining

Ceramic brake lining reinforced with carbon fibers comprises a matrix made from silicon carbide, silicon and/or carbon. The reinforced fibers are longitudinal fibers having an average length of at least 10 mm and aligned parallel to the friction surface. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of the brake lining.
