The door frame spreader has a tensioning rail which on each side has a push-on end piece (1), whereby each end piece has a holding slot (7) on the inner side for the tensioning rail. The end piece on the side lying against the door frame has a surface protecting lining (8) of felt or cork, for example. The other end piece on the side lying against the door frame has a surface protecting anti-slip lining.
