<p>A wheel (1) for motor vehicles has a decorative cap (3) with easily deformable narrow rod portions (20) that partially cover the wheel in its radial direction from the outer side of a wheel base body (2) to a disk diameter portion (7). The outer face of the easily deformable narrow rod portions (20) and an exposed outer face of the disk diameter portion (7) together form a design face. This results that the easily deformable portions (20) deform following the deformation of the disk diameter portion (7), so that noise caused by external force to which the wheel is subjected during traveling can be reduced, and the wheel can demonstrate excellent low-noise characteristics. Further, the design face formed by joining the easily deformable rod portions (20) and the exposed outer face of the disk diameter portion (7) shows a design effect that has not been available. Thus t he wheel (1) simultaneously has excellent low-noise characteristics and a high design effect.</p> |
